Northamptonshire and the surrounding area is blessed with several wonderful barn venues, and having worked at most of them over the last few years I’ve definitely got my favourites. Here are my top barn wedding venues in Northamptonshire… and an extra wildcard!

DODMOOR HOUSE

www.dodmoorhouse.co.uk

Dodmoor House is an exclusive use barn venue nestled just off the A5 outside Weedon, near Daventry. It boasts two sympathetically restored brick barns which are licensed for marriage, a spacious honeymoon suite and beautiful grounds right next to the canal with a lot of flexibility to shape your day; no two weddings at Dodmoor House are ever the same. The staff at Dodmoor run a tight ship – there’s a reason they boast a plethora of awards! Under current legislation you can marry outdoors at Dodmoor House. KINGSTHORPE LODGE BARN

www.kingsthorpelodgebarn.co.uk

If rustic if your vibe, look no further than Kingsthorpe Lodge Barn, which is located near Polebrook just outside Oundle. The barns maintain their exposed stone walls and wooden beams and are full of character. Kingsthrope Lodge Barn is dry hire which means you’ll need to do everything yourself, including furniture, decoration and catering but the space is an incredible blank canvas with a diverse range of backdrops for photographs. DODFORD MANOR

www.dodfordmanor-venue.co.uk

Dodford Manor, just situated just outside Weedon in the perfect mix of rustic charm and beautifully manicured space to hold your wedding. The grounds surrounding the barn are perfectly maintained and beyond you’ll find endless rolling countryside and hundreds of sheep (bring your wellies!). There is a dressing room for you to get ready on site and the staff are all so wonderfully helpful. Check out Ali + Tom’s autumnal wedding at Dodford Manor.

FURTHO MANOR FARM

Another brilliantly flexible DIY barn wedding venue situation in South Northamptonshire not too far from Milton Keynes is Furtho Manor Farm. The barn, which was originally the winter home of Furtho’s many sheep is licensed for ceremonies, as are the smaller barn and outdoor lakeside gazebo. You can also have a blessing at historical Saint Bartholomew’s church which lies within the grounds. Furtho also offers bed and breajfast facilities, so your wedding party can all get ready on site. Check out Amy + Ryan’s brilliant DIY wedding at Furtho Manor Farm.

THE CART SHED AT PARK FARM

www.weddingsatparkfarm.co.uk

A well kept secret in my opinion, The Cart Shed at Park farm offers rustic exposed brick, exposed beams and festoons a plenty. Rolling countryside and beautifully manicured secret gardens await. Check our Erin + Wes’ barn chic summer wedding at The Cart Shed.

HUNTSMILL FARM

www.huntsmillweddings.co.uk

I know – a curveball – because *technically* it’s in Buckinghamshire, not Northamptonshire but it’s proximity to Silverstone makes it feel like it’s local so… Gorgeous 18th century stone barns with several cottages on site for friends and family to stay, Huntsmill Farm offers idyllic countryside surroundings but also quirky industrial backdrops, it;s own red telephone box, festoons and firepits and also a secret hideway for an ourdoor ceremony. Check out Gemma + Ian’s colourful wedding at Huntsmill Farm.
