SUPER FUN, EMOTION DRIVEN
LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
COME ON IN AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME! I’m Hannah, and I’m a Lake District wedding photographer based in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. As well as photographing weddings up here in the Lake District, I travel all over the UK shooting the best days of peoples’ lives and having a great time in the process. I’d describe my work as raw, honest, and creative… With a little bit of awesome thrown in!
The last eight years have taught me that there is so much more to photographing weddings than understanding how a camera works and while my CV doesn’t list much more than a redundant teaching qualification, it does boast unusual skills such as excellent people watching, precision timing, weather forecasting and how to tie eight bow ties from scratch in record time.
I’m fascinated by the connection between people and I’m a bit of a chatter box. I’m also a terrible dancer but you’ll find it hard to get me and my cameras off the dance floor, for which I make no apology. You can find out more fun stuff about me here.
PROOF THAT I HAVE THE BEST JOB EVERRRRR
OUR OWN LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING

One of the Lake District’s finest wedding photographers
(If I do say so myself…)

CUMBRIA AND LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
For me, you cannot beat the wild, remote landscapes of the Lake District fells and the inky blue lakes beneath them which make the perfect back drop for your Lake District wedding photos. A family of keen hill walkers, the Lake District was always our first choice for walking holidays and after deciding to elope, there was no better location to pick for our wedding; Rhys and I married at Hause Hall on a glorious autumnal afternoon and climbed Hallin Fell at sunset for our portraits. You can read more about our Lake District elopement here. Having relocated in 2022, we’re now lucky enough to live in the mountains and call Cumbria our home.
When we’re not busy photographing and editing weddings, you’ll find us exploring the Lake District whatever the weather; I’m currently trying to tick off all the Wainwright Fells before I’m forty. There’s no such thing as bad weather for a Lake District wedding, as even the wettest of wedding days can provide dramatic backdrops to your wedding photographs. Having climbed some of the highest mountains in Cumbria in all weathers I am not afraid of getting wet in order to capture the best wedding photos that really tell the story of your day.
The Lake District and surrounding Cumbria is full to the brim of incredible weddings venues, from stately homes like Askham Hall and Silverholme Manor, castles like Blencowe Hall or Lowther Castle, rustic barns like Long Acre Barn, Eden Barn (which I can walk to from my house!) and Paddock Barn as well as charming farm houses like Low Hall and Hause Hall and course a myriad of lake side hotels offering a wide variety of wedding packages to suit all styles and budgets, but all offer stunning opportunities for Lake District wedding photography.
