When I was just a girl with a camera who dreamt of being a photographer, I totally relied on willing friends to let me take photographs of them… I guess it was a winner for them, but so much of my experience behind the camera came from trial and error, hoping for the best and a load of images that now I hope never see the light of day again! It’s really nice to be able to shoot my friends in a different light now (*snigger*) so it was a total joy to head down to Greenwich TWICE recently with my lifestyle photography hat on to shoot the Morkus family while they were just about still three, and when they became four.

We were treated to pretty glorious light when we hit the streets of Greenwich back in September for their maternity shoot – that gorgeous late summer afternoon light that’s full of warmth both in colour and temperature. John and Rhi are so open minded when it comes to having their photos taken which made my job super easy.

Of course it was a total delight to go and have snuggle Baby Ellery when he arrived, he’s a little bit more static than his big sister Lyra, and I couldn’t resist a few shots with my lovely old manual focus Pentax Takuma 55mm.

Family Morkus you are lush and you make super cute babies. Enjoy these!
