To start my double header of a bank holiday weekend back at the end of August, I travelled down to Worcestershire to photograph Tim and Sophie’s wedding at the foot of the beautiful Malvern Hills. I didn’t feel too homesick though, as Sophie is actually a Northampton girl, and in such a beautiful location, there was too much lovely stuff and beautiful views to oggle over! I loved all the home made and personal touches to Tim and Sophie’s day, particularly the photo walls and the corn in the floral arrangements to tie in their prewedding photographs perfectly. After a ceremony at Malvern Registry Office, set in the stunning Winter Gardens, I particularly enjoyed the speeches on the lawn at the Holdfast Cottage before the wedding breakfast; such a relaxed setting for an intimate gathering, and just a stones through away from the Marlbank Inn where lots more family and friends joined the couple in the evening for crazy golf, bouncy castles, a chocolate brownie pile and a hog roast! The absolute highlight of the day was Tim and Sophie’s first dance, where they flawlessly recreated the wedding dance from Pulp Fiction… It was definitely the best first dance I’ve ever photographed!
So much fun, thanks for having me, Tim and Sophie! I can’t wait to head back to Worcestershire later this month for my first wedding at Birtsmorton Court.
well isn’t that splendid blogging
Hello,
Great blog.
I am thinking of having my wedding at the same place and I’m looking for a photographer, could you send me details please?
Also, where was the marquee for the reception after is that in the grounds?
Thanks
Kate Schubert
Hi Kate – I will drop you an email now, the evening reception was held next door at the Marlbank Inn. Thanks for stopping by!
Incidentally – I might go into your junk box!
