I had a gorgeous email last night from Sam and Nicola. They tied the knot last month with just seven guests at Oakham Registry Office before celebrating their wedding with an intimate meal in a private dining room at Hambleton Hall. In the evening they threw a HUGE party in a local hall and partied the night away with their friends and family and some more recognisable Disney characters. Here’s a good place to start a blog post.
Thank you so much for being a part of our special day. The photos you have taken really show how magical our day was for us. Everyone that we have spoken to have said how friendly you were and are really impressed with the photos, they look so natural, half the time we didn’t even notice you were there. We shall definitely be recommending you to all our friends and family and putting plenty of photos on Instagram.
Sam and Nicola’s wedding was one of the smallest I’d ever photographed, and definitely one of the most emotional; I was thankful that I was able to quietly hide behind my camera as I had tears in my eyes for most of the day! These two are such cuties, who are so easy to photograph and their families are such a hoot, I really felt like I’d known them all for years… I was even part of the official wedding selfie! It was my first wedding at Hambleton Hall, and it was easy to see why Sam and Nicola chose to celebrate there; the grounds are just glorious and the view over Rutland Water is stunning, I could have happily spent all afternoon wondering around taking photographs… The after dinner chocolates were pretty tasty too.
Sam and Nic, thanks so much for letting me be part of your day, and thanks to your families for being so welcoming. Have an amazing honeymoon when you get there, I’m so excited to watch your adventure unfold!!
