I had a blast photographing Jo and Adam’s wedding last month at Jo’s home church of St Margaret’s, Stoke Golding followed by a reception at the Sir John Moore Foundation in Appleby Magma. Back in 2014 I photographed Jo’s sister Becky’s UK wedding reception, so you can imagine my complete joy when Jo got in touch to tell me it was her turn!
The Sir John Moore Foundation is such a fabulously quirky venue, perfect for laid back couples like Jo and Adam with loads of hidden nooks for photographs. I loved everything about the day, with so many gorgeous hand made elements, from the stationery which the couple had designed, the cake made by Jo’s sister with Arsenal-loving Adam in mind, the *slightly pimped up* Land Rover that had been Jo & Becky’s first car, some personalisation to Jo’s dress by her mum and stacks of made decorations. There was Pimms, hog roast, sparklers, card games and a bet on the Grand National for everyone. Although the weather had its moments we were treated to glorious evening sunshine and Jo and Adam didn’t stop beaming all day; their smiles were completely infectious and editing this set was such a pleasure.
Massive congratulations you two, it was such a pleasure to be park of such an awesome day!
