Hannah & Dan | Highgate House wedding

Photography, Wedding photography

Hannah and Dan got married last month and IT. WAS. AWESOME. Their wedding was held in their church in Kettering, before driving across my favourite part of Northamptonshire for their reception at Highgate House.

In the year since they’d booked me, I’d really gotten to know Hannah and Dan well, so I was disappointed to hear that their guinea pigs (aka “The Girls) weren’t going to make it to the wedding, but was pleased that they got a mention in the speeches, even if everyone wasn’t entirely sure who Hannah’s dad was referring to.

The day started with a minor stress when it looked like Hannah’s veil situation was touch and go; however her wonderful hairdresser Stacey James saved the day with a lot of pins and created the mechanism to beat all mechanisms and kept Hannah’s veil sturdy and in place all day. Panic over, the rest of the day unfolded effortlessly; a surprise appearance from an old friend that Dan didn’t think would make the wedding, a sword arch, an ice cream van, Nana Shep on the dance floor, gorgeous evening light, the groom dosey-doe-ing with his mum to In The Navy and the Five Megamix (when your youth just comes flooding back) to name but a few highlights.

Hannah and Dan is was such a joy to be part of your day, I had such fun with your friends and family and could happily have carried on dancing until someone sent me home… The team at Highgate House know how to do a wedding and you all looked after me so well; thankyou! Scroll down and enjoy.
