I have so much love for Gemma and Kristian’s Crate Brewery Hackney wedding I barely know where to start! I will start by telling you the Gemma and Kristian found me on Instagram – how cool – and I knew from following Gemma back we were going to get on a storm from the get go! Everything about this wedding was what I just so lovely; personality stamped on everything, happiness in abundance, pizza and OODLES of fun… My kind of day.

I knew that the day wouldn’t be without it’s challenges however; a 4:30pm ceremony the day before the clocks went back meant that we were really short of day light, but Gemma and Kristian were totally open to all my ideas and let me hop in on their first married taxi journey so we could crack out some portraits while their guests bused over from Hackney Town Hall. We went back out in the dark too for a few more pictures too. (Michael, the best man is a lighting man by trade and makes an excellent light stand – hopefully he’ll do the job for me again next year as randomly, it transpires, he’s a groomsman at another of my weddings next year!!) Hackney Wick is full of street art and cool back drops and I could have shot for hours were it not so cold and had the party not been banging back at the Brew Shed!

I had such a great day and really didn’t want to leave to catch the last train home. The dance floor was packed and the pizza seemed never ending. Gemma and Kristian I’m delighted we used the same hashtag at some point and our paths crossed… HERE THEY ARE!
